First of all, all of the featured ads on this post were published in the same market (Kuwait), the first to hit the scene was the Aramex ad with an appropriate headline “from anywhere in the world…to your wardrobe” makes perfect sense to put a fashion magazine or catalogue on a hanger, you get the point the Oscar ad for interior design is attempting to create a relationship between the hanger and an interior photo!!! I don’t get it! what i get is that someone desperately wanted to copy the idea of Aramex becouse someone told them its cool (just guessing). The Imtiaz ad just makes me crack up, an ad for a Kuwaiti investment company with the headline “Don’t freeze your money…invest it with excellence” yet the money is hanging on hangers!!! a hint about money laundry perhaps? wrong association. bad. very bad. check out this link Kuwait at risk for money laundering, terror funding.
A copycat is a person that mimics or repeats the behavior of another. The term is often derogatory, suggesting a lack of originality. The expression may derive from kittens that learned by imitating the behaviors of their mothers. – Wikipedia
